Between Sisters

Meg leaves Joe’s the next morning, returns home, writes a note for Claire and Bobby, and heads over to the resort campground to pick up Ali. She dreads talking to Sam but knows it’s inevitable. They share an uncomfortable exchange before Meg collects Ali, and they leave for Seattle.

Claire and Bobby fly to Kauai for their honeymoon. The beauty of the place overwhelms Claire. They settle into their rental house and take a walk on the beach. The whole day is pleasant. In bed that night, Bobby tells Claire how beautiful she is, and they have sex. Claire feels content curling up next to Bobby afterward.

Meg gives Ali a tour of Seattle. They visit the aquarium, candy shop, and movie theater. Back at the condo, they call Claire to say hi. Claire and Meg have a pleasant conversation, too. Afterward, Meg puts Ali to bed. Then she crawls into her bed and thinks about Joe, wondering if they have a future. Ali emerges from her room, interrupting Meg’s thoughts. She invites Ali to sleep in her bed with her.

In the morning, Mama calls Claire and demands that she put Bobby on the phone.
